After going here for nearly a year and since they opened, I think it is about time I finally wrote a review. If you want a lot of information on the barber and my honest opinion after visiting for a year, I recommend you give this a read and get an idea of why I like this place so much. If you are like me and you are the type of person who just wants to find the one barber, who always does what you need and don't change, I would recommend giving this place a go.So why did I change? Come here if I do not like changing and found the one barber previous to this place? Well at the time, it was because my preferred barber was walk in only (not sure if it still is) and whilst there was a lengthy wait, it was worth it, but still a little inconvenient. However my mother, who worked nearby mentioned this place and said I should give it a go. At first I hesitant, but decided what is the harm. I can always go back to my regular.However making this decision was well worth it. I will provide a detailed explanation in 3 areas, to help you decide to give this place a go.1. The service. When you go in and make a booking, they do their best to make sure you can get your appointment the same day, if they have no availabilities, they will make sure to book you in as soon as the next available spot is, whether that is the next day or a day that suits you best. They are always friendly and greet you as soon as you enter, when getting your cut it is always exciting to see what drink will be made and served to you. Always changing and always delicious, keeping it exciting. I have never had an issue with booking, their service or products. They have are always great, especially the beard oils.2. The cuts. Now I cannot speak for women cuts, or even haircuts with hair. However after seeing the cuts done for my sister and her husband on their wedding day, I can guarantee you are in for a great haircut, whether you are male of female they are able to find a style that looks good on you, even just seeing those who have had their cut before me, they always look fantastic. If you are like me and you lack in the hair department, you can look forward to a full head shave, which is done with a cutthroat razor (best feeling in the world). I have never had a nick or issue with their shave on my head, compared to when I do it myself. Beard care is another important aspect for me, it is something I take good care of and find it hard to trust just anyone with. However the time, effort and concentration I get with every trim on my beard, fills me with confidence. After a year of going there, I can safely say I have never had an accident or issue with my beard trim and the shaving of my head has always been problem/cut free and feels fantastic. This is exactly why I keep going back.3. The atmosphere, it is a fantastic shop and in a nice location. But what really sells it to me is how you feel when you walk in, I know this can be a part of service, but it feels like more then that. I do not feel like another number or customer that comes through the door, I get greeted by name and with excitement. Nice conversations, before, during and after. The atmosphere is easygoing and relaxing, like I have just come in to see some friends, whilst getting a cut. I am always offered a chocolate or mint after, a drink during, as well as having a joke, chat and discussion. Both owners are wonderful people, who make you feel welcomed, valued and excited for the next visit. Even popping in and saying hello is met with excitement, a conversation and a have a wonderful day as I continue on. I am treated exactly the same as if I was coming in for a cut with genuine kindness, excitement and a chat.So if you are someone who has just come to Townsville, or looking for a place to call your barber, or even thinking of changing for some reason. Please give this place your one chance, take a dive like I did. I truly believe they deserve the opportunity. Hopefully like me, you find it to your liking and continue to come back, getting the same wonderful result.
I can honestly only say that it is the best hairdresser I have ever been to, not only in Townsville but in all of Australia.Both Pouya and Lyn Lyn make you feel at home from the first moment you set foot in their shop.Great people, friendly, genuine and true professionals doing their job.Every time you go to get your hair cut you feel like you are hanging out with your lifelong friends in your home salon.Truly a fantastic experience with results that never let you down.I can only congratulate them and wish them every success because they deserve it 🙌🏻Pd: the coctels from Lyn Lyn are amazing🍸😎Miguel, The Spanish Boy!
It’s so refreshing to find a hairdresser who knows thick hair. My sons hair is thick but is always styled and cut perfectly. The staff are always friendly and make us feel at home. 10/10 we love Artside 😊
This place is amazing. I highly recommend it to everyone. They are really professional and lovely. The best hair cut I've ever got in my life. Don't take my word for it, go and experience it yourself.
